CAHNR Strategic Faculty Staff Listening Sessions

October 15, 2019

Dear CAHNR Faculty and Staff,

On behalf of the Strategic Visioning Committee, we are excited to announce dates for the listening sessions for CAHNR faculty and staff.  As you are all aware, the college has initiated a stakeholder inclusive process toward articulating a strong 2030 vision for CAHNR.  An important part of the process is listening sessions with faculty and staff of the college.  At the listening sessions, you will be able to share your views on what is important to the college.  Your views will be shared in brief written form in response to a series of questions.  Strategic visioning committee members will be there to compile the information so you will get an understanding of what themes are developing from your fellow college members.

Please RSVP here for one of the following listening sessions to be held on the Storrs campus.  If you do not plan to attend a listening session there is also space in the linked RSVP to let us know why.  Note that the week of November 25 is Thanksgiving Break, when there will be no classes.

  • Friday November 1, 9:15 – 11:45 am, Homer Babbidge Library Instruction 2119A
  • Monday November 25, 2:00 – 4:30 pm, WB Young 100

  • Thursday October 31, 2:00 – 4:30 pm, Homer Babbidge Library Instruction 2119A
  • Tuesday November 26, 9:00-11:30 am, WB Young 100

There will also be a listening session for Extension Faculty and Staff during the regular All-hands meeting on November 25th (No RSVP needed), and four statewide listening sessions for external stakeholders that will be held in the evenings of the week of November 18-21.  The Dean will make an announcement and we will issue an invitation to external stakeholders as soon as the details for those sessions are finalized.

We look forward to hearing from each of you during this important process to ensure an inclusive strategic vision for the future of CAHNR.  Please feel free to reach out to the co-chairs of the Strategic Visioning Committee (Justin Nash – and Ashley Helton – if you have any questions.
